Tiny Dancer or George Foreman????

So, I said that Baby Girl A likes to move a alot and that Eric is calling her Tiny Dancer but if you look closely at this picture you can see Baby Boy just laying there relaxing and in the left corner you can see Little Miss and her fist about to pound down on him! Too funny and cute not to share! But I think she might have a little of her momma in her...just a little though ;)! So we might have a future boxer on our hands!

And this is pretty much how the entire rest of the ultrasound went....she actually rolled over in her sac on top of him and still would not let us see her face!!!! Maybe she has a goatee and doesn't want us to see it yet?

Good news is that both babies are head down and have been for a while now. I am praying that they stay that way so I can try to deliver them.

Dr. Collins says that I am doing great and things look good!

Eric is diligently working every night on painting the nursery! Pics to come soon! I am so thankful for him and his willingness and excitement to be a part of everything going on with these babies!

Tiny Dancer....

I am currently 20 weeks. One question I frequently get asked is "have you felt the babies move?" When I respond with a "no" everyone looks at me as if I just grew third head. I didn't think it was a big deal and was starting to get a little concerned. They are always moving on the ultrasound but I just wasn't feeling them. Dr. Collins told me it was no big deal and that most women "think" they feel their baby move earlier when they really don't. I even had to see another doctor on Wednesday and when he did a Doppler on my right side and baby boy kicked and it made a "boom" he asked " wow, did you feel that?" Me: "Nope, nothing." He even looked at me like I was on crack.

But a miraculous thing happened on Thursday. I was sitting at my desk and I felt Baby Girl A No Name move!!!! It was fluttery and quick and then I just started feeling her all day long! Baby Boy B has not really moved yet that I am 100% aware of! Hopefully soon though! Eric calls her our "Tiny Dancer" because she has been way more active than him on the ultrasounds since the beginning. I texted Eric as soon as I felt her. He keeps asking me if she is moving or if I can feel her. I know he wants to be able to feel her move so badly! I can't wait until he can feel her!

As for me I think I hit a brick wall this week! I am WORN OUT! Growing 2 humans inside you is apparently a lot of work!!!

I always knew I was a good student.....

Luckily, I passed my 3 hour glucose test yesterday!!! Thankfully!!!

It didn't start out so well though. Since I had to fast before the test I had not had anything to eat since 6PM the night before. I went to bed starving. I woke up starving. I got to Dr.Collins office around 8:30 for my first blood draw and to drink the lovely fruit punch drink. The phlebotomist told me that I might get nauseous the first hour so I had to stay there. I didn't think much of it at the time since I didn't get sick after the first one. But the longer I sat there the sicker I became! I wasn't too enthusiastic of the thought of puking in the waiting room so I got up and went back to the lab and told her that I wasn't feeling very well. They made me lie down on a table and put ice on my neck. Luckily it helped and I never actually got sick!

So after 3 hours and 4 blood draws I could go. She told me to eat a high protein lunch....Yeah, right lady! Do you know how hungry I am and how hungry these 2 babies are?!!! I am going for filling and good! I did get the grilled chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-a........ minus the lemonade! :)

Failure.

Remember my lemonade story? Well......I went in for my 1 hour glucose test on the 6th. I was really nervous about the test...not on whether I would pass or fail but about having to drink the "stuff." I drink very little....and I mean very little. It takes me all day to finish a canned drink. So when I got there they called me  back to the lab and the lady asked me what flavor I wanted....I took fruit punch. She said "You have 3 minutes to drink it but I will give you 5." I thought "there is no way that will happen.....I will probably throw up all over this lady's lab and have to start over." Surprisingly it didn't taste that bad....and I chugged it down in less than 3 minutes.

I waited an hour in the waiting room, while on an empty stomach and starving, a lady brings in her child who proceeds to eat his Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit in front of me! NICE! I almost asked the little boy if he would take $10 for the biscuit.

After they hour they called me back again to draw my blood....and now we were to wait.

On Friday my nurse called to tell me that I failed the glucose test. Mine was at 146. She said that 135 was the cut off. I seriously failed by 11 points?????

Did I mention I was in line at Krystal to get my lunch when she called? I traded the coke in for a diet coke... Details, details.....

3 hour test on Wednesday!

Drum Roll Please......

As, I stated in an earlier post, Eric and I didn't want to find out in the doctor's office what the sex of the babies were. So once we knew the date that we were going to find out we planned our "Twins Gender Reveal Party" for the day after our appointment. We had a wonderful time and were so anxious to find out what Baby A and Baby B were so we could stop calling them A and B!

Here are the wonderful cakes my dear friend Kelly made for the party! She did a phenomenal job on them!

A few of the decorations that I put together....

We had everyone vote on what they thought Baby A and Baby B would be!

Here we are before the cake cutting!

Here we go!!!!!!! Baby A is up first!

IT"S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

Now, it's Baby B's turn!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

Now we can start calling these babies by their names, when we figure out what they are going to be!

Who knew LEMONADE would cause such an uproar?

So, apparently Chick-fil-a lemonades are FULL of sugar! I like to learn things the hard way!

I had a tremendously busy morning at work on Tuesday (for those of you who know what I do for a living, you know this is not a good thing). Anyway, I shoveled my chicken salad sandwich into my mouth along with a Ziploc bag full of grapes and jumped in my car to head to the doctor. I brilliantly thought that I would stop at Chick-fil-a and get one of their large lemonades to have on my way there......also in hopes the babies would be dancing and showing their "toot toots" so we could find out what they were! NOT. A. GOOD.IDEA.

After my ultrasound I give a urine sample and go into the "triage" area to be weighed, etc. As I am sitting there the nurse says "have you had anything sweet recently?" I say "yeah, a lemonade." So she explains that my urine is showing sugar and she will need to draw blood. She draws the blood and it is 151. I say "well, it was a large." (like a child who is being reprimanded). She says she will let Dr. Collins know.

I have my visit with Dr. Collins and she says everything looks good and sends me on my way. I assume she was not concerned about my sugar. At around 5:30 that night Dr. Collins, herself calls my cell phone. She said she was looking over my chart and realized what my sugar was and she was a little concerned. She said we were so excited talking about the twins and everything else she just forgot to check it. And that I was at a greater risk for everything since I was having twins so she would feel more comfortable if I had my glucose test next week. If I pass then I can wait and do it again at 28 weeks. If I fail........then BOO!

So, lemonade has that much sugar....who knew? (I am kidding)! I guess I will order diet from now on!
