Reporting for duty...

I am excited to say effective immediately these two cuties will be signing my paycheck. I resigned from work a couple of weeks ago before my maternity leave was over.

My plan was always to go back part time, working 2 days a week. But after much prayer and consideration I  felt it best that I needed to stay home with Graham and Evie Claire. It wasn't the easiest decision I have ever made, which sounds crazy....it should be a no-brainer..we have the means for me to be able to stay home so why would I not jump on it, right? I have held 2 jobs since graduating college and have LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about both of them....the job, the people I work with, the flexibility, the excitement, the fact that I went to work every morning not knowing what the day would hold. I have always wanted to be in law enforcement and worked so incredibly hard to make name for myself in the field. And I am incredibly lucky to have worked in that field for 10 years....most people can't say they loved going to work every morning. But now, my obligation is to my family and I am really excited to be home with them every day. I know it won't be easy at times but I know that it will be worth it.  I have so many things I want to do with the two of them...well, once the newborn stage is over and my sleep deprivation has worn off, and they can actually leave the house....big plans!
Can you sense the excitement?

Newborn Pictures

When Graham and Evie Claire were about 2 weeks old I had a photographer come to my mom's house to get some pictures of Eric and I with the babies. As a photographer myself I knew I could capture both of them perfectly (or how I wanted to anyway) but who was going to take pictures of Eric and I with them? So here are a few of our photo shoot from that day....

Happy Valentine's Day!

Graham and Evie Claire got their own haul of Valentine's this year!!

Evie Claire already has her own personal suitor in Mr. Nolan Edward Ange! He sent her this Valentine in the mail....She has requested that I tape it on the inside of her crib so she can check out Mr. Nolan before she takes her nap each day! He will be her future husband!

Happy 1 Month Graham and Evie Claire!

I can not believe that you are 1 month old already! Time sure is flying by! This last month has definitely been a whirlwind and as we are settling into our life as a family of 4 I am loving that fact that I am your mommy.

GRAHAM:
-you smile in your sleep all the time...I finally caught one of those precious smiles on camera.
-you love your swing and fall asleep in it almost every morning after I feed you
-you love to lay on your tummy and when you are upset I just flip you over on it and all is well
-since you were in the NICU for so long hardly anyone got to visit you there so when they come to the house everyone wants to see you
-you look just like your mommy and your Papa Nave

EVIE CLAIRE:
-you are so alert and aware of your surroundings and love to look around
-you constantly move your hands
-your temperature dropping is one of our main concerns about you right now so you still have to wear your hat and lots of blankets
-you look just like your daddy.
-you are still so tiny but you make a great snuggler
-you only cry when you have a poopie diaper or drop your pacifier...and it's more of a scream than a cry

Here are some pictures from your first month!

My Due Date!

Today was my original due date....and today Graham and Evie Claire are 4 weeks old!! So hard to believe and time is flying by!!! Eric just said to me while we were eating dinner that Graham and Evie Claire were 40 weeks today! So I thought I would share a little picture from today! My friend, Melanie, made these onesies and the headband for Evie Claire. She owns the Darling Little Bow Shop!  (Check her out on Etsy or Facebook).

And when I turned around I caught them holding hands....

They will be 1 month old on Friday! I have lots of pictures to share from this first month and of course we will have a little Valentine's Day photo shoot next week!!

Graham and Evie Claire's Birth Story....

I 100% believe the old saying "a picture is worth 1,000 words." That is why I love photography so much. One photograph can tell a whole story. My friend Jill wrote her perspective of Graham and Evie Claire's birth on her blog and it was beautiful. I don't remember too terribly much about that night....I keep relying on everyone else that was there to tell me all about the details. Jill took all the pictures in the operating room therefore these pictures are Graham and Evie Claire's birth story! I put them into a slideshow! I hope you enjoy it!

Adjusting to life...

We are slowly adjusting to life at home with Graham and Evie Claire....hopefully in the next week or so I can share the story of when they were born as well as some more pictures! But for now here are some pictures I took this week! I can't believe my babies are 2 weeks old! Time is flying!~

Everyone has asked how O'malley is adjusting to the babies....Eric caught this picture tonight and it was too cute not to share....he is either thinking about how cute Evie Claire is or how to get rid of her.....
